Was looking at changing to an 88 key keyboard and Novation ZeroSL MK II, which apparently is also class compliant doesn't use drivers and responds automatically to certain DAWs. This is a news to me and requires some else: SO, is this something new that has crept in under the radar that Acoustica needs to address or is it M-Audio being their historically semi-competent selves?

Also not sure if you can map your keyboard without using the direct-link software. It does not show up as Oxygen 8 in the midi input.

Not sure if any of the other DAW's are close to Mixcraft in there layout and would allow the keyboard to work. I have the 1st generation Oxygen 8 and you have install drivers for it. While maintaining the same small form factor, USB interface, and intuitive layout that made the initial offering such a hit, this new version offers improved pitch and modulation wheels, and transport controls that can be mapped to your favorite soundware. This software is what maps he keyboard to specific DAW's and, of course, Mixcraft was left out of the effort. Building upon the success of the original Oxygen 8, M-Audio has released the Oxygen 8 v2. The problem is in their direct-link technology.
